The Effects of Exercise Training on Cardiac Autonomic Nervous Activity
نویسنده
چکیده
Autonomic nervous system plays an important role in the regulation of the cardiovascular system both in ensuring optimal function during various activities in healthy individuals and also in mediating several of the manifestations of cardiac diseases [Task Force, 1996]. This system is responsible for rapid regulation of cardiac rhythm and function in order to match cardiac output with the body need during various exogenic stimuli, as exercise. Therefore, sympathetic outflow to the heart and withdrawal of the parasympathetic system activity underlie the cardiovascular system's first response to exercise, an increase in heart rate. In the short term, activation of the sympathetic nervous system is a compensatory protective mechanism. However, chronic activation of sympathetic nervous system has been shown to produce adverse effects on the myocardium and the peripheral circulation, and these effects are believed to contribute to cardiac and vascular structural alterations, that may advance disease progression [Makikallio et al., 2001].

Effect of Combined Exercise Training on Heart Rate Variability and Aerobic Capacity of Boys with Type 1 Diabetes
Background and Objective: Dysfunction in the autonomic nervous system can cause cardiovascular complications in patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D). The present study aimed to investigate the effect of combined exercise training on heart rate variability (HRV-5min), aerobic capacity (VO2max), and glycemic index in boys with T1D. Materials and Methods: In this semi-experimental research, 24 ado...
متن کاملCardiovascular and autonomic modulation by the central nervous system after aerobic exercise training.
The autonomic nervous system plays a key role in maintaining homeostasis under normal and pathological conditions. The sympathetic tone, particularly for the cardiovascular system, is generated by sympathetic discharges originating in specific areas of the brainstem. Aerobic exercise training promotes several cardiovascular adjustments that are influenced by the central areas involved in the ou...

Background and Aim: Heart rate variability used as a non-invasive method to investigate the effect of aerobics exercise on the cardiac autonomic system. The aim of this study was the nonlinear analysis of the effect of aerobic exercise in the water on the cardiac autonomic system in academic youngchr('39')s males. Materials and Methods: A total of 28 young men were purposefully selected and ra...
